2014

Event Highlights: For their Odyssey 2014 event, Western Riverside County Clean Cities Coalition partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of South West County at their annual fund raiser “The Murrieta Rod Run.” EcoCentre displayed a vehicle and passed out information on their car. Propane Auto Gas provided a Ford F-350 Propane truck for ride and drive, and Green Tech International displayed all electric lawn mowers and colored solar panels. Coalition staff distributed brochures on alternative fuel vehicles and vehicle technologies programs from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Event Highlights:
Western Riverside Clean Cities (Coalition) Odyssey Day event was organized as a public Alternative Fuel Vehicle Ride-N-Drive and Showcase, and was held at Riverside City Hall in Riverside, CA. The Coalition partnered with local radio station KCAL 96.7 FM to both advertise for, and broadcast from, the event. Vehicles available for test drive included the Coda Sedan, Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt, Honda Civic CNG, Ford C-Max Hybrid, and the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Riverside County Transportation Commission also provided a rideshare experience bus, where guests could learn about local bus and rail services. In addition, guests were provided the opportunity to cruise around the parking lot on a propane-powered ride-on lawnmower, and admire a 1912 Detroit Electric Depot Hack.

Event Highlights: Western Riverside County Clean Cities Coalition held its Odyssey event in the parking lot of Lowe’s Home Improvement, Moreno Valley, California. As part of the event, several alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles were on display. Among these were compressed natural gas, propane, electric, and hybrid vehicles. Southern California Edison provided information on electricity and energy efficiency. The Riverside County Transportation Commission passed out information on rideshare programs and public transit.
