Event Highlights: A National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey pre-kickoff was held in Washington, DC at the U.S. Department of Energy Headquarters on September 30, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The General Services Administration, Fleet Mid Atlantic Region, coordinated the AFVs for display, which included a hybrid Saturn Aura Sedan, an LPG Ford F150 pickup, an E85 Impala Sedan and a hybrid Chevy Tahoe SUV. Fleet representatives collaborated on Executive Order 13423 and handed out information about the availability of AFVs in the federal fleet. In addition, Ethanol (E85) refueling station locations information was available for the spectators. The event drew raves from all participants.
